Brief Introduction
Yantai University's Foreign Affairs Office is a functional organization responsible for schoolwork related to foreign affairs. It is designated to carry out national foreign policy and educational policy in relation to foreign affairs. Yantai University Foreign Affairs Office consists of International Exchange Section, Foreign Expert Section and International Student Section which work in coordination to provide service for any foreign-related work.

Survey of International Exchange
Yantai University actively carries out international academic, cultural, and friendship exchanges, and was one of the first universities permitted to accept foreign students and recruit foreign experts. The school has set up relationships with over 40 universities in America, Canada, the UK, Australia, Japan, Korea, and other countries and regions. Currently there are nearly 200 foreign students studying at Yantai University. These students are comprised not only of those acting as normal, full-time students, but also include those students on short-term Chinese language programs. These students have attained high results on the HSK standardized
test for Chinese and various other accomplishments.

International Exchange Section
DUTY:
International Exchange Section is in charge of Intercollegiate exchanges. That is, to promote academic exchanges and cooperation according to agreements signed with sister universities and research institutions. Foreign receptions include reception of foreign guests and visitors from sister universities and colleges that have intercommunion with Yantai University. It also arranges foreign visits by school leaders and tries to promote foreign exchanges by conducting early-stage preparation and receptions. The scope of task also includes recommending and receiving exchange fellows and students between Yantai University and foreign sister universities.

Yantai University would like to employ teachers from English-speaking countries. The main teaching task is to teach English and business courses to postgraduate and undergraduate students.

International Students Section
1. The International Student Section of International Affairs Office, Yantai University is the administrative organ for international student education;
2. The International Student Service Center takes care of the lodging for international students. The international student building is just 200 meters to the seaside. To the east of the building is a fine bathing beach, an ideal place for morning exercise. The dormitory room includes toilet, water heater, heating, TV, telephone, wardrobe, bookcase and bed with linens. Public laundry room, IC telephone and world wide web bar are available on each floor.
